Cooley + Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights to Help Voters on Election Day

Reston – November 5, 2018 – Cooley and the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, which leads Election Protection, the nation's largest nonpartisan voter protection coalition, have committed to ensuring all eligible US voters an equal opportunity to vote on Election Day.

Cooley's Reston, Virginia, office will once again serve as a field command center on Election Day. In addition, many Cooley lawyers are involved in Election Protection efforts throughout the country and are dedicated to helping voters with their ballots.

The 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683) toll-free hotline will be answered live on Election Day from 6:00 am to 9:30 pm EST and bilingual English/Spanish assistance will be available on 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (1-888-839-8682). Voters can also text “Our Vote” to 97779. Election Protection volunteers will be available to help at the polls at select precincts.

Election Protection – the nation’s largest nonpartisan voter protection coalition led by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law – has trained volunteers available to answer questions on Election Day. Election Protection also utilizes field monitors and voter education, and relies on its expansive network of national partners and state advocates, to respond to any questions or concerns voters may have.
