Cooley: A San Diego Best Place to Work

September 27, 2018

San Diego – September 27, 2018 – For the third consecutive year, the San Diego Business Journal named Cooley a Best Place to Work in San Diego, ranking the firm #4 among mega-sized companies – the highest ranking law firm in the category.

The awards honor companies and firms for rewarding hard-working employees, investing in employee training, offering wellness and fitness programs, and providing opportunities for team building.

“Our successes in the courtroom and the boardroom flow from our signature Cooley culture – one of celebrating client service, teamwork, innovation and diversity,” said Mike Attanasio, partner-in-charge of Cooley’s San Diego office and chair of the firm’s global litigation department. “To be ranked in the top five on SDBJ’s distinguished list for three years running underscores this approach, which permeates throughout the firm.”

Cooley’s highly acclaimed culture is often recognized on top workplace lists, including Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, on which Cooley is the #1 law firm in the US, #18 overall.

Cooley recently celebrated 25 years of prosperity in San Diego. Opening its Southern California doors in 1992, Cooley was the first Silicon Valley law firm to operate in the market. Home to some of the firm’s leaders across several key practices, the office has become one of the dominant players in the San Diego market and an integral part of Cooley’s national and global growth.
