July 26, 2018

Palo Alto – July 26, 2018 – People Magazine has named Cooley to its 50 Companies That Care list, which highlights organizations that show extraordinary compassion to employees, embrace the environment and put diversity forefront. Cooley is the sole law firm named to the list, ranking #30 overall.

“Each year, Cooley’s management committee elects a set of priority initiatives – fostering our unique culture and giving back to our communities are always on that list,” said Maureen Alger, Cooley’s pro bono partner. “It’s heartening to be part of this notable group of companies that share a commitment to values that make Cooley a great place to work.”

People partners with Great Place to Work to compile the rankings, which are based on surveys representing more than 4.5 million employees at 1,000 companies across the country. Rankings reflect Great Place to Work’s assessment of the generosity of each organization’s benefits and philanthropic and community support, with focus on activities within the last year.

Cooley is regularly recognized for its considerable efforts. In addition to being named a five-time Fortune Best Company to Work For, the firm has been recognized as a Fortune best workplace for giving back, women, diversity, millennials, flexibility and parents. Recently, the American Bar Association honored Cooley with its prestigious Pro Bono Publico Award for the firm’s dedication to providing pro bono legal services in marginalized communities.
