Lerer Hippeau Raises Pair of New Funds

$122 million focused on seed investments, $60 million on later-stage opportunities

Boston – June 1, 2018 – Cooley advised Lerer Hippeau on the closing of its sixth seed-stage fund at $122 million, as well as a $60.63 million select fund aimed at later-stage deals. Both funds vastly exceeded their targets. Cooley partner Nicole Peppe led the team advising Lerer Hippeau.

In comments made to TechCrunch, Lerer Hippeau’s managing partner, Eric Hippeau, noted that the fund will “continue to be seed-first investors and New York-first investors.”

A longtime Cooley client, Lerer Hippeau is an early stage venture capital fund based in New York City. Its portfolio companies include Cooley clients Allbirds, Axios, BuzzFeed, Casper, Glossier, Group Nine Media, Lola and SeatGeek.
