VETCON Announces Exclusive Legal Partnership with Cooley

March 17, 2017

Palo Alto – March 17, 2017 – VETCON, the premier event for the veteran entrepreneur community, taking place March 23-25 in Silicon Valley, has added global law firm Cooley as its exclusive legal sponsor.

VETCON features 250 elite speakers, mentors, investors and startups. It is the veteran entrepreneur conference, an annual gathering of visionaries, hustlers and game-changers from around the world. VETCON promotes the international community of veterans who run their own businesses.

Cooley, headquartered in Palo Alto, represents 35% of US companies in the Wall Street Journal’s Billion Dollar Startup Club and is the #1 law firm for tech and life sciences IPOs. In 2016, Cooley advised on more than 200 M&A transactions with an aggregate value of more than $70 billion. The law firm will provide legal services to the winner of the VETCON pitch competition as well as speak during the conference.

"Cooley has a history of supporting veteran-founded companies," said Cooley partner and US Army veteran Karen Deschaine. "We're proud to be supporting VETCON and look forward to working with the winner of the pitch competition."

"VETCON is an elite community and we wanted to partner the top legal firm in the country. We are thrilled to have Cooley as our exclusive legal partner," said Ian Faison, founding partner of VETCON, West Point graduate and former Army Officer. "Cooley is committed to helping veterans grown their businesses and the firm will be a tremendous asset to the VETCON startup community."

With VETCON 2017 just days away, only a few tickets are remaining to see the top names in the Silicon Valley bring their expertise to our nation’s most powerful entrepreneurs, our nation’s veterans. VETCON is the intersection of military precision and business prowess.

With the "Godfather of the Silicon Valley" Steve Blank, Founders Fund’s Trae Stephens, plus entrepreneur and business leader Chuck Wallace speaking – as well as companies including Facebook, Hubspot, and Salesforce in attendance – veteran entrepreneurs can expect to learn how to take the next step in their business and help it grow. VETCON provides actionable feedback for the goals and plans attendees have for their businesses.
