Cooley Associates Chosen As LCLD Pathfinders

March 29, 2016

Palo Alto – March 29, 2016 – Cooley associates Bethany Lobo and Brandon Fenn have been selected to join the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's (LCLD) 2016 class of Pathfinders.

Piloted last year, the pathfinder program is designed to train early-career lawyers in critical career development strategies, including programming on leadership and network development. According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the program offers participants "intensive in-person training, online experiential learning, and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD fellows in small group gatherings."

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 240 corporate chief legal officers and law firm leaders who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD fellows program, which has trained more than 800 mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of the council's most important initiatives. Litigation partner Reuben Chen was recently named Cooley's 2016 LCLD fellow.

In August 2015, Cooley hosted Colin Stretch, general counsel of Cooley client Facebook, and a group of fellows for a candid discussion regarding diversity in the legal profession.

"Cooley is very proud of its longstanding partnership with LCLD," said Joe Conroy, Cooley's CEO. "Together, we're on a mission to improve diversity and inclusion at all levels in the legal profession.
