Cooley Ranks as a Top Firm for Patent Litigation and PTAB Proceedings

March 10, 2016

Palo Alto – March 10, 2016 – In its annual Year in Review report on patent litigation, research database Docket Navigator ranked Cooley as a top 10 firm for patent litigation defense and a top five firm for PTAB proceedings, based on volume in 2015. As lead counsel in 50+ patent cases and 90+ PTAB proceedings last year, Cooley was among the most active law firms in the country for patent disputes.

In December 2015, Cooley was named a finalist in the Intellectual Property category of The American Lawyer's biennial Litigation Department of the Year special feature.

Cooley's patent litigators routinely defend key products and technologies that are fundamental to its clients' businesses. In the last year alone, Cooley invalidated 25+ patents that were asserted against its clients. The firm also maintains a proprietary online database, PTAB Digest, which contains insight on PTAB's application of procedural rules and substantive law governing post grant proceedings.
