Global Competition Review Highlights Cooley's DC Antitrust Practice

April 21, 2015

Washington, DC – April 21, 2015 – Cooley's DC-based antitrust attorneys were recommended by Global Competition Review, a leading antitrust and competition law journal and news service.

The Global Competition Review reported that "With a deal-hungry client base of ultra-high-tech companies and specialty pharmaceutical firms," Cooley's DC antitrust group is "enjoying a wave of work." GCR highlighted the group's "impressive agency experience" and noted the group handled six second requests during 2014.

Partners Howard Morse, Jacqueline Grise and Marc Schildkraut, Of Counsel Mark Schechter and Special Counsel Parker Erkmann were cited for their work on a number of matters including representing drug developer Patheon in a joint venture dispute; Kodak in defense of a tying lawsuit; and Netscout on its $2.6 billion acquisition of Danaher's communication business.

Cooley has more than 40 antitrust and competition lawyers providing a full range of counseling, litigation and agency representation services in the US and in Europe. They handle all aspects of antitrust and competition matters for Fortune 500 corporations, as well as for growing companies, in high tech and other industries including computer hardware, software, e-commerce and social media; biotech, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals' clean tech, aerospace, automotive, defense, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, consumer products, publishing, telecommunications and financial services.

In March, GCR also recommended Cooley's California antitrust attorneys.
