Fortune Names Cooley a "Best Workplace for Millennials"

June 26, 2015

Palo Alto – June 26, 2015 – Cooley has been named a "Best Workplace for Millennials" by Fortune magazine. Cooley, one of only two law firms recognized by Fortune, ranked #39 on the magazine's inaugural list.

According to The Great Place to Work institute, the "Best Workplaces for Millennials" list is a best of the best ranking. Of the 465 companies that were surveyed using the Trust Index© Employee Survey in 2014, 315 surveyed at least 50 employees under age 35. Almost 90,000 millennial-aged employees from these companies completed the survey and answered 58 questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace. This list is a result of the total score each company received from its employees under age 35.

"Cooley's distinctive culture is one of the primary drivers behind a new attorney's decision to join the firm and it binds generations of lawyers throughout their careers at the firm," said Carrie Wagner, Director of Legal Talent at Cooley. "Cooley's inclusion on this list further reinforces the firm's commitment to creating a rewarding and inclusive workplace."

In March 2015, Cooley was named to Fortune magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for the second consecutive year. Cooley rose to #42 – up 58 spots from the prior year  and was one of only five law firms named to the prestigious list.
