San Diego – September 24, 2015 – Cooley is advising Warburg Pincus and Sutter Hill on the formation and commercialization arrangements for Helix, a $100 million new venture with Illumina. Cooley will continue as an advisor to the new venture.
The new venture, Helix, will enable individuals to acquire an unprecedented amount of genetic information. By providing affordable sequencing and database services for consumer samples brought through third party partners, Helix will drive the creation of an ecosystem of consumer applications, according to Warburg Pincus.
The team advising Warburg Pincus is led by partners Wainwright Fishburn and Glen Sato and includes senior associate Holly Holloway.
