Palo Alto – May 14, 2015 – Partners Barbara Borden and Heidi Keefe were named "Top Women Lawyers" by the Daily Journal in it's annual special report.

Borden, the head of the firm's mergers and acquisitions practice, specializes in mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions, joint ventures and other complex transactions and public securities law. The Daily Journal highlighted her work advising Horizon Pharma on its inversion transaction with Vidara Therapeutics for $660 million, Volcano Corp. on its $1.1 billion sale to Philips, Auspex Pharmaceuticals on its $3.5 billion sale to Teva Pharmaceuticals, Horizon Pharma plc on its $1.1 billion acquisition of Hyperion Therapeutics, Ambit Biociences on its $410 million sale to Daiichi Sankyo Co. Ltd. and NetScout Systems on its pending $2.6 billion acquisition of Danaher Corp.'s communications business unit.

Keefe, a member of the intellectually property litigation practice group, represents clients in high-stakes patent trials before juries and judges. The Daily Journal noted: "Facebook Inc. turns to Keefe to handle its patent disputes, who has prevailed in a series of lawsuits during the past year." In one recent case, Keefe successfully invalidated a TLI Communications patent on a motion to dismiss in defense of Facebook and Instagram.  Last month, Keefe was recognized by The Daily Journal as a "Top IP" lawyer.
