M&A Advisor Awards Cooley Two Turnaround "Deals of the Year"

New York – December 11, 2015 – Cooley's corporate restructuring & bankruptcy practice group was recognized for its work by M&A Advisor at its tenth annual Turnaround Awards. Cooley won for "Distressed M&A Deal of the Year" in the $10m to $25m category for its work on Authentic Brands Group's acquisition of Fredrick's of Hollywood, as well as "Restructuring Deal of the Year" in the $250m to $500m category for its work on RadioShack's restructuring.

Cooley lawyers Cathy Hershcopf, Seth Van Aalten and Robert Winning advised the unsecured creditors to Frederick's of Hollywood in negotiating a proposed chapter 11 plan that provided general unsecured creditors with a projected recovery where none was anticipated at the start of the case. 

Cooley lawyers Jay Indyke, Cathy Hershcopf, Richard Kanowitz and Seth Van Aalten advised the creditors' committee in the bankruptcy proceedings of electronic retail chain RadioShack Corporation.
