London – November 16, 2015 – Cooley is the legal partner for Tech City UK's "Upscale," a programme that will connect 25 promising startups with expertise and advice to successfully grow their businesses.

"It's great to partner with Tech City UK on its innovative Upscale programme," said Justin Stock, managing partner of Cooley's London office. "Since Cooley's launch in the UK, we've been working to bring to London's burgeoning tech scene the firm's renowned Silicon Valley experience and ethos in championing the high-growth ecosystem. Upscale will be an effective way for Cooley to influence capital flow to London through its established VC relationships and Silicon Valley connections and know-how."

Upscale aims to connect aspiring founders with proven business leaders from established companies who want to give back to the next generation of leaders. These leaders, who will serve as coaches, advisors and judges, hail from renowned tech organizations and investment firms including Foundry Group, Techstars, 500 Startups, Reboot and Zoopla.

To be considered for the Upscale programme, digital businesses should be headquartered in the UK and be able to demonstrate a high level of month-on-month growth on their key business metrics, such as active users or subscriptions. Learn more about Upscale and apply for the programme here.

In September, Cooley extended Cooley GO to the UK. Cooley GO is the firm's award-winning, mobile-friendly online resource centre for investors and entrepreneurs at technology companies at all stages of the growth cycle.
