Cooley Pilots OnRamp Fellowship to Support Women Attorneys

January 13, 2014

Palo Alto, Calif. – January 13, 2014 – Cooley LLP announced today that it will pilot the OnRamp Fellowship, a one-year training program aimed at facilitating the re-entry of experienced women attorneys to senior roles within law firms.

Conceived by lawyer recruitment, development and diversity veteran Caren Ulrich Stacy, the OnRamp Fellowship is a re-entry platform that matches experienced female lawyers returning to the profession with law firms. With the support of a one-year, paid training fellowship, women returning to the legal profession will have the opportunity to demonstrate their value as practitioners while simultaneously augmenting their experience, skills, and legal contacts.

"The OnRamp Fellowship is a potentially groundbreaking initiative that could profoundly impact the participating lawyers and law firms and ultimately the legal profession itself," said Cooley's chief executive officer, Joe Conroy. "We are thrilled to be one of the initial participants in the fellowship program."

The overarching goal of the OnRamp Fellowship is to replenish the talent pipeline with experienced women lawyers who seek not only to re-enter the legal profession but ultimately to advance into leadership roles.

The application deadline for interested participants is February 28, 2014. More information is available at www.OnRampFellowship.com
