June 10, 2014

San Diego – June 10, 2014 – Cooley LLP announced today that partner Wainwright Fishburn will co-chair the inaugural Digital Health Forum at the 2014 BIO International Convention's Digital Health Forum. The Forum will be held in San Diego on June 24-25, 2014. Ryan Sysko, chief executive officer of WellDoc and Andrew Thompson, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Proteus Digital Health will also serve as co-chairs.

The BIO International Convention attracts more than 15,000 executives. This year's program will feature Former Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton and Sir Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group, as keynote speakers, among many others.

The Digital Health Forum will explore the intersection of digital health, biotech and pharma. Sessions will highlight digital health's role in clinical trials, mobile prescription therapies, breakthrough business models and big data.

"Digital health is operating at the intersection of technology, innovation and consumerism," said Fishburn. "It is an exciting time to partner with these pioneering companies as they change the landscape of the health care industry."

"The digital health space is of particular interest to us for investment," said Casper de Clercq, partner at Norwest Venture Partners. "The rise of health care costs, our aging population and regulatory changes have set the foundation for growth in the digital health sector."
