Palo Alto – December 1, 2014 – Cooley is now accepting applications for its 2015 Diversity Fellowship program. First-year law students who demonstrate superlative leadership skills and a commitment to promoting diversity in their communities are encouraged to apply.

Award recipients will receive a paid Summer Associate position and an award of up to $30,000 to assist with law school tuition. Award recipients will be announced in early 2015, with the Summer Associate positions to commence following the successful completion of the recipients' 1L year.

"Increasing our diversity is a key priority for Cooley and supporting students who have demonstrated an active commitment to diversity is just one of the ways we are working toward that goal," said DeAnna Allen, chair of Cooley's Diversity Committee.

To be considered for a Diversity Fellowship award, applicants must be enrolled full-time in an ABA-accredited law school with anticipated graduation in 2017 at the time of application, and they must not have received a paid diversity award from another law firm between January 1, 2015, and August 31, 2016. Applicants must be able to participate in and complete Cooley's 2015 Summer Associate program.
