Cooley Represents IDEV Technologies in its Acquisition by Abbott Labs
Palo Alto, Calif. – July 17, 2013 – Cooley LLP announced today that it represented IDEV Technologies in its $310 million acquisition by Abbott Laboratories. IDEV is a privately-held company focused on developing next-generation medical devices for use by interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons and cardiologists. Abbott is a global healthcare company devoted to improving life through the development of products and technologies that span the breadth of healthcare. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2013.
The Cooley team was led by partner and chair of the medical device practice, Mark Weeks, and included partners Renee Deming, Mark Windfeld-Hansen, Natasha Leskovsek, Francis Fryscak, Jacqueline Grise, Danish Hamid and Kevin King. Associates Anita Vasudevan, Eric Chow, Michael Baker and Sharon Connaughton also supported the transaction.
