Beyond Screens: The Online Safety Act and Children’s Safety
Event summary
Under the UK Online Safety Act 2023, services that are likely to be accessed by children have until 24 July 2025 to prepare a children’s risk assessment, after which they will need to be compliant with Ofcom’s Codes of Practice for the protection of children, the first version of which was published in April 2025. In this webinar, members of Cooley London’s Online Safety Act working group will analyse how these requirements will affect clients across different industries and what steps they should take to meet them. They will also look further ahead, discussing what companies should expect as Ofcom prepares to roll out the next phase of the Online Safety Act’s implementation.
