The biometric privacy legal scenescape is fast evolving, with private litigation raging under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, which has seen more than 1,500 cases filed to date. The Federal Trade Commission and state regulators increasingly overseeing uses of biometric data and new and pending laws governing biometrics.

This webinar will discuss trends and theories from the plaintiffs’ bar, describe regulators’ areas of focus and highlight key new legislation. We will also discuss practical strategies that companies can use to reduce their litigation and regulatory exposure associated with their use of biometric data.
