Olya Antle has been selected to participate in the 60th session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Group V (Insolvency Law). Olya is one of 5 observers selected by the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) to attend the working sessions of Working Group V and participate in deliberations of the delegates and other experts on topics of applicable law in cross-border insolvency proceedings, civil asset tracing and recovery tools used in such proceedings. All meetings will be recorded and recordings may be made available upon request.

Established in 1966, the UNCITRAL is a subsidiary body of the General Assembly of the United Nations with the general mandate to further the progressive harmonization and unification of the law of international trade. UNCITRAL has prepared a wide range of conventions, model laws and other instruments dealing with the substantive law that governs trade transactions or other aspects of business law which have an impact on international trade. Working Group V of the UNCITRAL debates and considers issues in relation to international and cross-border insolvency law. Since 1995, Working Group V has produced several core documents, including UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency, UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Insolvency Law, as well as practice guides and other model laws adopted by countries around the globe.
