Preparing for Litigation in the Era of COVID-19

July 9, 2020
Event details

12:00 – 1:00 pm Pacific Standard Time

Event summary

With the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world, businesses are vulnerable to a myriad of new challenges, including litigation brought on by the pandemic and corresponding economic crisis. From contact tracing apps to securities fraud, the reality for many businesses is that in addition to direct economic hurdles, there will be challenges from the Plaintiffs Bar and increased scrutiny from government agencies.

A panel of Cooley litigators will discuss three key areas where companies are likely to see increased activity: privacy litigation, government investigations and securities & real estate. Through this interactive panel, we will discuss the types of claims that clients should prepare for ahead of time and in some cases, may already be seeing.
