About Julie

Julie D. Wicklund is special counsel in the Cooley business department and head of the international practice group. She has a general business and corporate practice with a particular focus on international business transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Julie works extensively with U.S. corporations expanding overseas and also advises foreign corporations and investors doing business in the United States. She provides strategic advice and legal counsel to fast growing technology and life sciences companies expanding sales, marketing, R&D and manufacturing capabilities overseas. Before joining Cooley, Julie qualified as a lawyer in the UK with Hogan Lovells, the international law firm, and also spent time on assignment to Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. She ran the Investment Teams of the UK Trade and Investment offices in Atlanta and San Francisco, advising US businesses on European business development through operations in the UK.
