Julie Robinson

Julie Robinson is Of Counsel in the Cooley Business department. She joined the Firm in 1993 and served as Partner until 2010. She is resident in the San Diego office.

Julie has a general corporate practice and represents private and public companies in a wide range of corporate and securities matters, including private financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial agreements, corporate governance matters, and employment and compensation arrangements. Julie also advises venture capital firms in connection with financings and other transactions. Julie is counsel to companies in diverse industries, including biotechnology, medical device, retail and software.

Prior to joining Cooley, she was a corporate associate in the Los Angeles office of O'Melveny & Myers. She also served as a summer extern to Judge Dorothy Nelson of the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals.

Julie is a co-author of "Venture Capital and Public Offering Negotiation" (Aspen Law and Business, Inc., Chapters 6-14).
