About Emily

Emily practices general corporate and securities law. She advises clients on a range of corporate matters – including formation, financings, mergers & acquisitions, securities offerings, US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting obligations, and corporate governance.

Before joining Cooley, Emily worked at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), where she was the lead examiner on research and development (R&D) and emerging technology policy, funding, and regulatory matters.

Emily received her JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in law from the University of Oxford, as well as a master’s degree in government administration and a bachelor’s degree in applied science from the University of Pennsylvania. She was a law fellow and adjunct professor at Georgetown Law from 2009 to 2011.
