He teaches trademark law at Suffolk Law School and co-chairs the Cooley Inclusion Alliance, where he leads firmwide initiatives to recruit, mentor and advance exceptional, underrepresented legal talent.

Cooley advised Function of Beauty, a creator of customizable hair, skin and body care products, on its $150 million strategic investment from L Catterton, the largest consumer-focused private equity firm in the world. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year. Lawyers Giselle Rivers and Kevin Cooper led the team advising Function of Beauty on the transaction, which is expected to close by the end of the year.
