In this virtual series, Cooley practitioners provide attendees with practical guidance and best practices around managing data protection-related issues. We also keep you up to date on recent developments in the ever-evolving regulatory landscape.

Session 1 – The SEC Cyber Rules: Where Are We Now?

We’re nearly one year out from the new Securities and Exchange Commission cyber rules coming into force. This session examined how the rules have been addressed in practice – both by companies and the SEC. It also addressed trends and updates to Form 8-K filings for cybersecurity incidents, discussed how Cooley companies and others have approached the 10-K disclosures, and reviewed any SEC enforcement actions and what they mean for our interpretation of these rules.
