Cooley advised Tackle.io, a software company dedicated to helping software providers generate revenue through marketplaces in the cloud, on its $100 million Series C financing round, which brings its valuation to $1.25 billion. Seth Gottlieb, Emily Iannarelli, Jonathan Camello and Kris Tamashiro led the Cooley team advising Tackle.

Cooley advised Intersect ENT, a global ear, nose and throat medical technology leader dedicated to transforming patient care, on its agreement to sell to medical technology company Medtronic in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.1 billion. Lawyers Steve Tonsfeldt, Matthew Hemington, Kevin Cooper and Matthew Silverman led the Cooley team advising Intersect ENT.

Cooley advised BrightFarms on its $100 million Series E financing. Partner Mark Medearis led the Cooley team advising BrightFarms, which is a leading next-generation indoor farming company supplying U.S. grocery retailers with packaged salad greens.

Cooley advised Forty Seven Inc. on its $112.6 million initial public offering of 7,035,000 shares of common stock. Cooley partners Eric Jensen and John McKenna led the team advising Forty Seven. 

Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse acted as lead bookrunners, Canaccord Genuity acted as lead manager and BTIG and Oppenheimer acted as co-managers for the offering. 

Forty Seven is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company that is developing therapies targeting cancer immune evasion pathways based on technology licensed from Stanford University. It now trades on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “FTSV.”

Palo Alto, Calif. – Cooley represented Epocrates in its $293 million sale to athenahealth, a provider of electronic health records systems.

Based in San Mateo, California, Epocrates is the leading creator of mobile medical applications for more than 330,000 US physicians who use the company's app to call up summaries on drugs, including side effects and interactions. Cooley represented Epocrates from its inception and through the company's initial public offering in 2011.
