Andrew Lustig is a partner in the Cooley Godward Kronish Business department. He joined the Firm in 2000 and is resident in the Reston office.
Mr. Lustig specializes in private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions and the general corporate representation of venture capitalists and emerging growth technology companies both in the U.S. and Latin America. His practice focuses on a wide range of industry sectors including software, telecommunications, homeland security, government contracts, life sciences and information technology. He also represents a number of leading venture capital and private equity firms.
Mr. Lustig's venture capital and private equity experience includes numerous seed, angel, early, expansion and mezzanine round financings. His merger and acquisition experience includes representation of buyers and sellers in structuring and negotiating transactions such as stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, auctions, recapitalizations, spin-offs and consolidations.
Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Lustig was an associate in the corporate/securities section of Locke Liddell & Sapp LLP in Dallas, Texas. His practice in Dallas focused on mergers and acquisitions and public securities work.
Mr. Lustig received a J.D. from the William and Mary School of Law in 1998 and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Virginia in 1995. He is also fluent in Spanish and has a moderate command of Portuguese.
Mr. Lustig is a member of the Texas State Bar and the Virginia State Bar.
