Event summary

Join Cooley for the premiere of our Biotech + Breaking Glass: Leading Women in Life Sciences series. This series will feature women in the life sciences industry sharing and celebrating their stories, obstacles and milestones.

The series premiere will feature Lily Hepworth, General Counsel and Company Secretary at Immunocore, a clinical-stage UK based biotechnology company, which listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market earlier this year. Lily will be joined by Cooley lawyers Madison Jones and Courtney Thorne and will discuss topics around her role in the IPO process and how she got started in the biotech industry.

Lily leads Immunocore’s legal function on a global basis and is responsible for oversight of corporate governance, securities, compliance, employment law, commercial transactions, M&A, litigation, regulatory, privacy and antitrust matters. Immunocore is pioneering the development of a novel class of TCR bispecific immunotherapies called ImmTAX – immune mobilizing monoclonal TCRs against X disease – designed to treat a broad range of diseases, including cancer, infections and autoimmune disease. Prior to joining Immunocore, Lily worked at Centrica plc, a FTSE 100 energy and utilities company. From 2012 to 2018, Lily was Centrica’s Head of Legal for Corporate, leading a team of lawyers supporting the Centrica group on corporate/plc matters including M&A, financing and shareholder interactions.
