Cooley advised M33 Growth, a venture and growth-stage investment firm, on a series of strategic investments in:

• Operix (formerly IFS Core), a provider of software solutions for specialty contractors that allow for more efficient management of field operations personnel and processes through seamless integrations with core accounting platforms.
• PerformLine, a provider of a cloud-based, multichannel sales and marketing compliance platform for the banking, mortgage, insurance and financial services industries to monitor enterprise communication channels for regulatory and brand compliance and improve reporting and issue remediation workflows.
• Leading2Lean, a provider of a cloud-based digital workflow platform for discrete manufacturers that enables factories to implement more efficient production and maintenance processes.
• Yapi, a provider of a communication and patient engagement platform for dental offices that streamlines front office and marketing workflows, automates appointment reminders and digitizes paper-based forms such as patient consents.

Cooley advised HackerRank on its oversubscribed $60 million Series D funding round. Partner Al Browne led the Cooley team advising HackerRank, a developer of a technical hiring platform designed to help businesses evaluate software developers based on skill.

Cooley advised augmented intelligence platform DataRobot on its $300 million Series G financing round and its concurrent acquisition of Algorithmia, a machine learning model deployment and management solution. Harley Brown, Pat Mitchell and Pat Argenio led the Cooley team advising DataRobot on the financing, while Brown and Heather Harrington led the team advising on the acquisition.

Cooley advised Billtrust, a leading provider of cloud-based software and integrated payment processing solutions that simplify and automate B2B commerce, on its agreement to combine with South Mountain Merger Corporation, a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company or SPAC. The combined company will continue as a publicly listed entity and have an implied estimated enterprise value of approximately $1.3 billion at closing. Partners Miguel Vega, Nicole Brookshire and Matt Browne led the Cooley team advising Billtrust.

Cooley advised enterprise AI platform DataRobot on its $270 million financing round led by Altimeter. The transaction represents one of the largest software financings in the city in 2020. Corporate partners Harley Brown and Pat Mitchell led the Cooley teams on the transactions.
