David represents banks, non-bank lenders, fintech companies and other financial services providers in enforcement matters before a host of federal and state agencies, including the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). He also has experience advising on matters of compliance with respect to a range of consumer protection laws, such as the Fair Housing Act, unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices, statutes under the Dodd-Frank Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and state and federal laws concerning the licensing of bank and non-bank mortgage companies, consumer loan companies, and debt collectors.
