Reston – May 5, 2022 – Cooley advised Hungry, a tech-enabled food catering and delivery platform, on its acquisition of NatureBox, a subscription-based healthy snacks provider serving corporate employees. Mike Lincoln and Josh Holleman led the Cooley team advising Hungry.
As a result of the acquisition, the snack options offered by NatureBox will become available to Hungry’s clients through a new platform called Hungry Snacks.
“We greatly enhance the in-office snacking solutions currently available to NatureBox clients with a much broader selection of snack options, drinks, fresh fruit and other solutions plus world-class onsite service and replenishment,” Jeff Grass, CEO of Hungry, said in a statement to Forbes. “Exclusive access to healthy, better-for-you NatureBox snacks and all these additional capabilities will make Hungry Snacks an unbeatable office snacking solution.”
Cooley previously advised Hungry on its venture and celebrity-backed $8 million Series A financing round and $19.7 million Series B financing round.
Hungry began as a tech-enabled platform for office and event catering, connecting clients to incredible chef entrepreneurs. The company has rapidly grown into a national platform for top chef-made food production and delivery services that also include business and event catering, contracted meal delivery services, chef-centric pop-ups, virtual chef experiences, and home meal delivery. Hungry operates in nine major US cities, employs 250+ team members and partners with more than 150 top local chefs.
