Ping Identity Sells to Vista Equity

Colorado – June 3, 2016 – Cooley is advising Ping Identity on its acquisition by Vista Equity Partners for an undisclosed amount. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2016.

Ping, a Cooley client for the last decade, is a Denver-based leader in Identity Defined Security for the borderless enterprise, allowing employees, customers and partners access to the applications they need. Vista is a leading San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on software, data and technology-enabled businesses.

According to the company press release, "The acquisition will allow Ping to accelerate growth and innovation through strategic acquisitions and focused investment in its leading enterprise Identity-as-a-Service (IdaaS) capabilities, which places identity at the core of enterprise security."
