This two-and-a-half-day conference will include an opening plenary session, in which women general counsel will share their views and advice about how to help women develop critical skills to succeed; and a full day of cutting-edge plenaries and four separate programming tracks addressing trial advocacy skills, business development, insurance, securities litigation and product liability issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with expert litigators and in-house counsel.
Jessica Valenzuela Santamaria will be moderating a breakout session entitled "Recent Developments in Delaware Stockholder Litigation" which will take a look at the latest trends and developments in stockholder litigation in Delaware, including an examination of Corwin and its progeny (e.g., Volcano, Larkin, Merge Healthcare, Saba Software, Liberty Broadband), as well as a discussion of recent decisions by the Delaware Courts in appraisal actions, derivative suits and books and records cases.
Shannon Eagan will be moderating a breakout session entitled "Enforcement Trends in the Securities and Financial Markets" which will offer a discussion with senior enforcement officials from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and FINRA regarding enforcement priorities and trends.
