Peter Erceg – Senior Vice President, Lockton Global Cyber & Technology
Peter is one of the leading chief information security officers in the world. He sits on customer advisory boards globally and often speaks at events, including RSA Security Week in San Francisco. Peter joined Lockton from EE where he was responsible for all areas of information and cyber security, technology risk management and business continuity for the company.
Prior to joining EE, Peter was vice president of information security at Visa Europe, responsible for the protection of Visa’s sensitive data for the company, which had a turnover of over €1 trillion per year.
Mark Deem – Partner, Cooley
Mark is a partner in Cooley’s London office. He is a commercial litigator, with considerable experience of complex domestic and cross-border litigation, international arbitration and regulatory matters. Mark specialises in TMT litigation; contentious privacy, data protection and cybersecurity issues; and financial services disputes. He has particular experience in a variety of industry sectors in addition to TMT, including aviation and aerospace, communications, digital and banking and finance.
His previous work includes acting for several financial institutions and FTSE-100 companies in relation to data breach issues, leading to notifications to regulatory bodies and Parliament. Other experience includes conducting an internal investigation concerning a major cyber event on the technology platforms of a leading global retailer and a leading UK service provider in the leisure industry and advising a corporate client concerning its strategic response to a significant cyber event, including issues relating to disclosure to affected parties, stakeholders and the forensic treatment of evidence.
Jonathan Hemus – Managing Director, Insignia Crisis and Reputation Management
Jonathan has more than 25 years’ experience providing crisis management planning, training and consultancy to organisations around the world. Before founding Insignia in 2008, he was head of crisis management at international communication consultancy Porter Novelli.
At Insignia, Jonathan has advised a wide range of companies on how to protect their reputations and has trained hundreds of executives to successfully communicate with their many stakeholders during the intense pressure of a crisis. Organisations that have benefited from his experience include DP World, the Financial Times, GE, Henley Business School, the International Cricket Council, Lidl, Procter and Gamble, PwC and the UAE Prime Minister’s Office.
Jonathan is a sought after trainer, coach and speaker on crisis management and has run cyber crime exercises in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. He has spoken on reputation management, crisis communication, PR and business continuity at national and international conferences and events. He is a guest member of the Henley Business School faculty, a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University and a regular media commentator on crisis management.
