Cooley has one of the leading litigation practices in the US with many seasoned trial lawyers. Together with our highly experienced team in the London office, the firm can handle cross-border litigation matters and international arbitrations involving the examination of conflict of laws, forum and jurisdictional disputes, as well as domestic disputes across a broad range of industries and businesses.

Our experience litigating in a wide variety of venues includes the United States Supreme Court and other federal and state courts nationwide, a broad spectrum of administrative tribunals and international arbitral forums and English courts. Cooley attorneys have considerable experience as coordinating counsel in multi-district litigation and are also experienced in a variety of alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediations and settlement conferences. Many of our litigators serve as court appointed or privately selected mediators and arbitrators. F. Hoffmann-La Roche v. Gilead Sciences, Inc.

Cooley's litigation team scored a significant victory for client Gilead Sciences, Inc., in arbitration initiated by Hoffmann-La Roche over rights to Gilead's blockbuster hepatitis C drug, Sovaldi.
