Dr. Cynthia Kozakiewicz is special counsel in Cooley's litigation department and a member of the patent counseling and prosecution practice group. Her practice in intellectual property focuses primarily in the area of biotechnology, particularly the fields of immunology, molecular biology, molecular diagnostics, plant biology, microbiology, cell biology, cancer therapeutics, virology, glycobiology, and stem cells. She advises pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences companies, research institutions, universities and hospitals both in developing and implementing worldwide patent strategies and regarding the prosecution, licensing, and enforcement of patents.
