Shira Nadich Levin is a partner in the Real Estate practice group, Co-Chair of the Real Estate Leasing group and a member of the Cooley Business department. Ms. Levin joined Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman LLP in 2004, which merged into Cooley Godward Kronish LLP in 2006. She is resident in the New York office.
Ms. Levin has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including office, retail, shopping center, industrial and warehouse leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and financings. She has particular expertise representing developers and owners (many of whom are individuals and families with long-standing investments in real estate) with respect to all stages of real property acquisition, ownership and management. She represents a number of condominium associations and cooperative housing corporations in connection with the management of their properties, mortgage financings, retail leasing and general commercial agreements and disputes. ABN Amro Incorporated in connection with the leasing, subleasing and assigning of commercial space throughout the United States;

An established real estate family in the management, leasing, acquisition and financing of multiple office, warehouse and industrial properties, principally in Manhattan and Long Island City;

A well-known owner and manager of real estate in the management, leasing and financing of office and shopping center properties in the greater New York metropolitan area;

A prominent investment banking family in the management of real estate properties, including the management of a Class A office building in New York, and the sale of holdings (valued in excess of $90 million dollars) in multiple residential properties in New York City.
Ms. Levin earned a J.D. from New York University in 1976, where she was a member of the Review of Law and Social Change. She received a B.A. in Anthropology, cum laude, from New York University in 1973.
She is rated "AV" by the Peer Review Rating of Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Ms. Levin is active in many charitable organizations, including the Abraham Joshua Heschel School, a pluralistic day school in New York City. She served as president of its board during the development and construction of its high school. She also represents many not-for-profit entities on a pro bono basis.
Ms. Levin is admitted to practice before the New York State Bar and is a member of the New York State Bar and City Associations.
