Steven J. Hwang is an associate in the Emerging Companies practice group and a member of Cooley's Business department. He joined the firm in 2011 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.
Mr. Hwang practices general corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on the representation of emerging growth companies, venture capital funds, and public companies.
Mr. Hwang earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2009, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. At Columbia, he co-founded the Korean Law Students Association and received the Parker School International Studies Award. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Duke University in 2006.
Mr. Hwang is a member of the State Bar of California.
