Seagrumn Gilbert is an associate in the Cooley Business department. She joined the Firm in 2008 and is resident in the San Francisco office.
Ms. Gilbert's practice focuses on real estate transactions, project finance, acquisition, development and leasing. She has represented a wide range of clients, including energy investors and providers, major financial institutions, national and regional developers, and a luxury hotel developer/manager in a variety of transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of real estate, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, leases, major loan financings and management agreements. Ms. Gilbert regularly conducts and manages real property, title and survey due diligence, and drafts and negotiates transfer, leasing and loan documentation, opinion letters and title policies.
Prior to joining Cooley, Ms. Gilbert was an associate in the Real Estate practice group at Thelen LLP in San Francisco.
Ms. Gilbert received a J.D., and concurrently, an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law, from Duke University School of Law in 2004 and a B.A., with honors, in Political Science and Philosophy from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001.
Ms. Gilbert is a member of the State Bar of California.
