Robert O. Hadfield is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Securities Regulation, and Venture Capital Financings practice groups and a member of Cooley's Business department. He rejoined the Boston office in 2012, having practiced with the firm previously from 2007-2011.
Mr. Hadfield advises both public and private companies in early and later stage venture investments. He also assists public companies in their compliance with SEC periodic disclosure, corporate governance and stock exchange rules.
Prior to rejoining the Firm in 2012, Mr. Hadfield served as Corporate Counsel at Kiva Systems. At Kiva Systems, he was part of a two person legal team responsible for managing the company's patent and trademark portfolio, litigation matters, commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, and employment matters.
Prior to law school, Mr. Hadfield was a financial analyst in the Health Care Investment Banking Group of SG Cowen Securities Corporation.
Mr. Hadfield earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating cum laude, in 2006. He earned his B.S. from Providence College, graduating magna cum laude, in 1999. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
