Paul Bagley, Associate

Paul R. Bagley is an associate in the Mergers & AcquisitionsVenture Capital Financings and Real Estate practice groups and a member of Cooley's Business department. He joined the firm in 2007 and is a resident in the Boston office. 

Mr. Bagley maintains a general business practice, and concentrates his practice on advising companies and investors in connection with mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing transactions and real estate matters.

Representative experience:

  • Represented companies and investors in debt and equity financing transactions totaling over $500M
  • Represented clients in over $1 billion in merger and acquisition transactions
  • General Counsel to venture backed telecommunications company, including mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financing matters

Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Bagley was a corporate associate in the Boston office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and also served as law clerk to the Honorable Charles W. Trombly, Jr., Massachusetts Land Court.

Mr. Bagley earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 2003, graduating magna cum laude, and served as Notes Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.  He graduated with highest distinction from the University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in 1998. 

Mr. Bagley was selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in 2009 and 2010.

Mr. Bagley is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
