Suzanne Sawochka Hooper is a partner in the Cooley Business department, a member of the Firm's management committee and partner in charge of the Hanover office in Palo Alto. Ms. Hooper joined the Firm in 1996 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.
Ms. Hooper practices general corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on securities transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Hooper represents public companies in corporate and securities law matters (with a particular focus on life sciences companies), public and private companies and investment banks in merger and acquisition transactions and issuers and investment banks in public offerings.
In 2005, Ms. Hooper was named one of the "Top 20 California Lawyers Under the Age of 40" by California Law Business.
Ms. Hooper received a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1991. Ms. Hooper received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1988, where she graduated with high honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Ms. Hooper is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.
