Elizabeth Carter is an associate in the Cooley Business Department. She joined the Firm in 2007 and is resident in the San Diego office.
Ms. Carter represents both public and privately-held companies in general corporate matters as well as a range of transactions, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and strategic collaborations.
Ms. Carter received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and received CALI awards in both Corporate Finance and Intellectual Property. Ms. Carter also served as a teaching assistant for property law and as a Comments Editor of the San Diego Law Review.
Ms. Carter received her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology, with a minor in Spanish Language and Literature, from the University of California, Berkeley.
Ms. Carter is a member of the State Bar of California.
