HR Network 2009 | Bay Area

Hotel Sofitel
223 Twin Dolphin Drive
Redwood City, CA 94065
11/05/2009
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Join Cooley's legal experts from our Employment & Labor and Compensation & Benefits groups for HR Network 2009, a seminar featuring practical solutions for human resources challenges in a dynamic employment environment.

We hope you can join us for our annual HR event. We will provide a legal update of new laws, cases, and trends in the employment, compensation, and benefits areas. In addition, a panel will discuss how best to prevent and prepare for employment litigation and employee benefits litigation. One breakout session will consider HR challenges presented by the current need for efficient and flexible workforces, and discuss effective use of part-time employees, PEOs, temps, and contractors. We will also review critical issues commonly arising in wage and hour compliance, and best practices for reducing legal risk. Best practices to manage employee use and abuse of company computer systems, including popular social networking tools, will be the focus of one breakout. Another will address special employment and whistleblower issues faced by government contractors. We will also analyze the latest proposals for compensation "reform" and how they may affect your company.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please reply by October 19 and register separately for each guest. As space is limited and usually reserves quickly, please reply as soon as possible if you plan to join us. There is no charge to attend.
