Cooley Named to The Lawyer's "Global Litigation Top 50"
Palo Alto, Calif. – December 11, 2012 – Cooley LLP announced today that it was named for the first time to The Lawyer's annual list of the "Global Litigation Top 50." The list is comprised of the highest-revenue litigation departments of the world's leading law firms. Cooley's inclusion is based on 2011 data reflecting that litigation revenues were 45% of total firm revenues that year.
The Lawyer references Cooley's work for Facebook in the high-profile patent infringement suit brought by Yahoo earlier this year, as well as Scott Balber's recent arrival as New York-based head of financial services litigation. The article notes that Balber's hire "underscore[s] Cooley's – and the world's top litigation firms' – continuing appetite for a slice of the New York disputes action."
