Cooley Attorney Recognized as Leading Lawyer in California
Palo Alto, Calif. – October 21, 2008 – Cooley Godward Kronish Partner Mike Attanasio was recently honored as a leading attorney in California in The Daily Journal's Top 100 list for 2008.
Attanasio, a partner and chair of the Firm's San Diego litigation practice, was selected for his work on a major trial victory in San Diego federal court on behalf of client Daniel F. Stulac, one of the first outside auditors in the post-Enron era to go to trial against allegations of direct collusion with corrupt management. All criminal charges were dropped. Stulac had faced up to 30 years in prison, if convicted. Also highlighted was Attanasio's role as adjunct professor of law at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he teaches a course on white collar and corporate crime, and completion of a three-year term as a lawyer representative to the 9th U.S. Circuit Judicial Conference.
The Daily Journal's Top 100 list reflects those at the top of the legal profession who do outstanding legal work that affects both the legal community and California at large.
